Soylent
The primary idea behind Soylent was that eating a healthy, balanced diet shouldn't be difficult or expensive. In 2013, when they shared a workplace and a diet of frozen dinners and ramen noodles, their co-founders met for the first time. After several stressful meals, founder Rob Rhinehart and co-founders Matt Cauble, John Coogan, and David Renteln came up with the idea for Soylent as an experiment. They think that food preparation may be simplified. They were software engineers after all, and they wanted to develop better food for themselves.
